Children

Children are very welcome in our churches which have ‘children’s corners’ with toys and colouring sheets.  The activities we provide at the moment are:

Saturday Specials
We hold Saturday Workshops every two months or so, based on different times of the Christian year, for children aged 6 to 12.  Children under 6 are also welcome, accompanied by an adult.
Workshops are from 10am to 12pm, held in the Church Room at Stalham, and normally include lots of craft activities based around the theme.  The morning finishes with a short and lively service in the church.
Please contact Mrs Elizabeth Jackson on 01692 581389 if you would like more information.

All Age Worship
On the first Sunday of the month at Stalham, all age worship is a shortened informal service.  Our music group provide the music, and would welcome new members.  We sing lively songs and there is normally some kind of interactive talk (non-threatening!).    At St Michael's Church in Sutton the service on the first Sunday of the month also has an all-age feel.

BBs
Baptised Babies has been running for many years, originally for mums and babies to meet together.  These days BBs meet in the school holidays when all BBs of any age can come together.

Children's Choir
Our children's choir meets from 5pm to 6pm on a Wednesday afternoon in Sutton Village Hall for part of each term.  Boys or girls of any age and singing ability are welcome (there is no audition!).  We learn a variety of pieces ready for a concert at the end of term.  For more details please contact Mavis Smith on 01692 583398.

Little Adults
Little Adults, for pre-school children, meets at about 10am on the second Thursday in the month at Sutton Church.  The children are helped to think about particular themes by singing songs and hearing stories.  Little Adults is attended by the children of Sutton pre-school, but other children are very welcome too.

Give Me Five
Give Me Five (Faith, Fun, Friendship, Fellowship and Food) meets on the first Wednesday of the month at 6.30pm in the Church Room.  A very well organised bring and share meal is followed by songs with the music group, readings and prayers.  The ages of people attending range from 9 to 94!
For more information contact Mrs Sheila Postle on 581989, or Mrs Jan Blossom on 598316.

Please be assured that, in line with Diocesan guidelines, all the people running children’s activities have Enhanced CRBs.
