COVID-19 Update

In line with Government guidance, our church buildings remain open for private prayer - Stalham from 10am - 2pm, Ingham from 10am - 3pm and Sutton from 10am-4pm. If you are working during these times and would like to visit, please contact a churchwarden.

Due to the sharp rise in coronavirus cases in our area, it has been decided that the safest option is to stop meeting together for worship in our churches for the time being. This will be reviewed at the end of January.

We will continue to live stream a service each Sunday at 10.30am using the Morning Prayer service and weekly Pews News material (see below). An easy-to-follow service outline and link to our Facebook and YouTube pages can be found on the homepage.

As a Church we have tried to stay connected and to continue in worship during these last months. A simple service of Morning Prayer has been given out for people to use weekly or daily if they wish to. Our usual weekly news sheet has been expanded to include a reflection from one of our ministry team and prayers from one of our prayer leaders, along with a hymn choice and various other items to make us think or smile.  This will continue for some time in order to support those who are not yet allowed or ready to venture out just yet.

You can find the Church of England's streamed Sunday services here.

For daily prayer, you might want to download the Church of England's Time to Pray app, which is now free - find out more here.

And there are special prayers for the current situation here.

Weddings and Funerals
Funerals are still allowed to take place in church in Tier 4, with a maximum of 30 people attending - however this number is dependent on the size of the church - for St Michael's Sutton, our smallest church building, the maximum would be lower and would also depend on the number of different household groups attending.

Weddings in Tier 4 are only allowed in exceptional circumstances, and the number attending has to be no more than 6 (not including those 'working' - the minister, photographer, organist etc).  Please speak to me for more information.

If you need to talk, please don't hesitate to ring one of the numbers on our contact page.

Every Blessing, Simon
